Zandile Zimu (20) is missing.

ANOTHER University of Joburg student has gone missing!

Zandile Zimu (20) was last seen on Monday when she was dropped off at Kingsway campus in Joburg by her father.

Zandile, who is enrolled for a Fine Arts degree, is the second student to go missing from the university. Last year, Palesa Madiba (21) from Soweto disappeared without a trace.

Zandile’s twin sister Zamancube, a BCom student, told Daily Sun: “On the day before she disappeared, she was talking on the phone a lot but there was nothing strange about her behaviour. Our father was supposed to pick us up at 3pm but classes ended at 1pm. I tried to text her on WeChat but she didn’t respond.

“I went to her department to look for her but the students there told me she had not been to class that day.”
She said she started worrying when her father arrived and they realised she had left one of her phones in the car.

“We left Auckland Park at 6pm but she wasn’t home and our brother at the Soweto campus had not seen her,” said Zamancube. The family lives in Alberton, south of Joburg.

Mum Rachael Zimu (52) said she had taken her daughter to the doctor last week because she had a stomach ache and the doctor said she was stressed.

“It’s unlike her to be away from home because she shares everything with her twin sister,” she said.
“Wherever she is, we want her to know we love her and we will support her with whatever she is going through.”
